Principal's Message

 

 

Dear Oiler Family, 

It is with great pride that I reach out to you as the Montebello High School Principal.  I am grateful and honored to serve this great community.  We have all experienced some very challenging times and as we weather the storm and look forward to better days we will only get through it by working together.    

Thanks to all our Oiler family we have had a successful start, not perfect, but a successful start to a reopening that no one has had to navigate in over one hundred years.  I am always humbled by our amazing staff that supports the protocols and gets our students to not only comply but to buy in.   

We started the year implementing new protocols to get our students back to school and keep everyone as safe as possible.  While reopening with many challenges we focused first and foremost on our students' social and emotional well-being.  As we move forward we will continue to connect with our students as well as provide more options for them in and out of the classroom.  I cannot predict what the future holds for us but one thing I can state is that we will do all we can to make sure students feel safe, supported and valued.  

I will continue to work together with our Oiler community to create an atmosphere that fosters communication.   Please feel free to contact us about anything as we look forward to supporting our families in more ways than just academics.  We look to be the hub of the community and provide all of you with resources to better support our students. 

Again, it is a privilege to serve our Montebello community.  On behalf of all of us here at MHS, thank you for entrusting us with your children every day.

Estimada familia de los Petroleros, 

 

Es con gran orgullo que me dirijo a ustedes como Director de la preparatoria Montebello. Estoy agradecido y honrado de servir a esta gran comunidad. Todos hemos experimentado algunos tiempos muy desafiantes y mientras capeamos la tormenta y miramos hacia adelante a mejores días, sólo lo superaremos trabajando juntos.

 

Gracias a toda nuestra familia Petrolera hemos tenido un comienzo exitoso, no perfecto, pero un comienzo exitoso para una reapertura que nadie ha tenido que navegar en más de cien años. Siempre me siento humilde por nuestro increíble personal que apoya los protocolos y hace que nuestros estudiantes no sólo cumplan, sino que sean obedientes. 

 

Comenzamos el año implementando nuevos protocolos para que nuestros estudiantes regresaran a la escuela y mantener a todos tan seguros como sea posible. Mientras que la reapertura tiene muchos desafíos nos centramos, en primer lugar; en el bienestar social y emocional de nuestros estudiantes. A medida que avancemos seguiremos conectando con nuestros estudiantes, así como proporcionando más opciones para ellos dentro y fuera del aula. No puedo predecir lo que nos depara el futuro, pero lo que sí puedo afirmar es que haremos todo lo posible para que los alumnos se sientan seguros, apoyados y valorados. 

 

Continuaré trabajando junto con nuestra comunidad de los Petroleros para crear una atmósfera que fomente la comunicación. Por favor, siéntase libre de ponerse en contacto con nosotros acerca de cualquier cosa, ya que esperamos apoyar a nuestras familias en más formas que sólo en lo académico. Buscamos ser el centro de la comunidad y proporcionarles a todos ustedes recursos para apoyar mejor a nuestros estudiantes.

 

De nuevo, es un privilegio servir a nuestra comunidad de Montebello. En nombre de todos nosotros aquí en la preparatoria Montebello, gracias por confiar en nosotros a sus hijos todos los días.
